Spring 2013 – Cover Story: Mrs. Laird Is Afraid of Her Son
In the days following the brutal beating death in January of Tulsan Linda Laird, neighbors recall the 56-year-old single mother stating that she feared her son Hank. Parent abuse is a form of domestic violence that can result in verbal assaults, physical violence, property damage, threats, bullying, theft and even job loss by a parent who finds him or herself at continuous odds with their child.

We thanked God for life and each other, for His blessings in good times and bad.

Nationally recognized stand-up comedian, actor, singer and songwriter Rodney Carrington hosted his foundation's first annual Carrington Classic Golf Tournament with all proceeds benefiting DaySpring Villa.
