Published four times a year, The Villa Voice provides DaySpring Villa supporters with timely news and information about our shelter, our needs, and our efforts to transform the lives of women and children in crisis. From guest and volunteer profiles to timely feature articles, success stories, and in-depth reports, The Villa Voice covers the reality of domestic violence right here at home through the eyes of the women and children who experience it.

Winter 2011 – Cover Story: Our Christmas Present Is Their Christmas Future.
Like many of you and your families, the staff at DaySpring Villa is busy preparing for the holiday season. Thanks to our many volunteers and supporters, our guests and their children enjoyed a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner right down to the drumsticks and pumpkin pie. We thanked God for life and each other, for His blessings in good times and bad.

Fall 2011 – Cover Story: Annual Royal Feast and Silent Auction a Must-Attend Fall Event.
"This is the largest fundraiser DaySpring Villa hosts each year, so we're reaching out to businesses, churches and individuals across the Tulsa community to show their support for the women and children we rescue every day from domestic violence situations by donating an auction item or becoming a sponsor." says Nora Cook, president of DSV's board of directors and Royal Feast chair.

Summer 2011 – Cover Story: First Annual Carrington Golf Classic Nets DSV $43,000.
Nationally recognized stand-up comedian, actor, singer and songwriter Rodney Carrington hosted his foundation's first annual Carrington Classic Golf Tournament with all proceeds benefiting DaySpring Villa.

Spring 2011 – Cover Story: The Family Secret.
Children of domestic violence learn early to keep silent. No secrets are ever spilled outside of homes that, inside, carry heavy consequence.

Winter 2010 – Cover Story: A Woman of Means.
What does a battered woman look like? The old stereotype is quickly changing. DaySpring Villa takes a closer look at domestic violence from a wealthy perspective.

Fall 2010 – Cover Story: Rodney Carrington Foundation Selects DaySpring Villa as Featured Charity.
When nationally recognized entertainer and local celebrity Rodney Carrington looked to form a charitable foundation, he had two criteria: Aligning himself with a not-for-profit organization that made a positive impact on Tulsa-area children, and supporting a worthy cause that didn’t receive large corporate funding.

For most of us, it's difficult to imagine our first dating experiences involving violence but recent statistics show that dating violence among Oklahoma ninth-graders is more than three times the national average.

Spring 2010 – Cover Story: Documentary Spotlights DaySpring Villa, Tulsa-area Domestic Violence.
Into the Light, a new 40-minute documentary film, takes a sobering look at the reality of domestic violence through the eyes of three Tulsa-area women and the women of DaySpring Villa who work with victims of abuse.
