DaySpring Villa depends on volunteers, financial gifts and in-kind contributions to shelter, feed, clothe, and support up to 55 women and their children in crisis at any one time, throughout the year. Our ability to help these families emerge strong, independent and self-sufficient is a direct result of caring individuals, churches and private corporations. - Child Care
“Jesus loves the little children. All the children of the world…” Do you take to heart every word of this sweet song you might’ve learned as a child? If so, maybe you have the gift or skill to work with our guests’ children. As a child care volunteer, you’ll help plan and supervise activities during scheduled events. Men’s and women’s groups and boys and girls of all ages are encouraged to join this volunteer team. - Bible Study Leader
If you have a gift for teaching simple, basic Bible lessons, have we got a captive audience for you. Introduce the teachings of Christ to our guests and their children by making His lessons come alive through your voice. Bible study leaders must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church. - Care Partner
DaySpring Villa is actively seeking women from local Baptist churches to serve as encouragers and friends to select guests. As a care partner, you must be committed to spending a minimum amount of time each week with your matched guest as she works toward independence and self-sufficiency. - Extended Session
A unique and marvelous way for single women or couples to volunteer their time and exercise their prayer muscles. Extended Session volunteers help answer phones and ensure lunch is in the oven on Sunday mornings when our guests are in church. You can also use your time to prayer-walk the halls of DaySpring Villa and leave a lasting blessing behind. Serve as often as you’d like. Extended session volunteers must be an active member of a Southern Baptist church. - Storeroom Service
Organization is key with this volunteer service and if you just happen to be a neat freak, then we’ve got a place for you at DaySpring Villa. Come help us sort, organize and stock donations so that they are easily found and accessible by staff and guests when needed. - Food Services
Share your culinary talents with our staff and guests by preparing a meal or assisting with preparations and serving. You can work individually or invite a group of friends. All meals must be prepared on-site in our Health Department-certified kitchen. You will also need to obtain a food handler’s permit, which will be granted free of charge when you show your volunteer letter from DaySpring Villa. - Associate House Staff
A meaningful volunteer position full of adventure and personal reward. If you’re not ready to join our house staff, how about becoming an associate house staff volunteer? This position requires some additional training and commitment but repays your heart a hundred fold. This position requires that you are female and a member of a Southern Baptist church. - Office Assistant
Your gentle voice and sweet smile will brighten the spirits of guests and staff at DaySpring Villa as you help answer the phone and front door. You would also assist our staff with other light office duties as needed. If you’re a true people person, this is a great opportunity to volunteer your time in a warm, friendly office environment. - Transportation Volunteer
Your safe driving skills have never been needed more. In this position, you would volunteer your time to drive our guests to regularly-scheduled appointments. You would not be a personal chauffeur but would work closely with the case manager to ensure guests make it to vital medical and job-related appointments. - Housekeeping Service
DaySpring Villa and its guests strive to maintain a clean living environment for our women, children and staff. If cleaning is one of your gifts, we want to hear from you. In this volunteer position, you will help prepare rooms for new guests and their families or work in other areas of the building. Flexible hours. - Licensed Beautician
If you enjoy giving makeovers and cutting and styling hair, consider sharing your skills with the guests of DaySpring Villa. Nothing gives a woman an added boost of confidence and self-esteem like a pretty hairstyle or a new lipstick color. As a licensed beautician and volunteer, you’ll work in our own beauty salon on-site and enjoy the non-stop thank you’s sure to come your way. - Maintenance Service
If changing light bulbs, mowing lawns or cleaning gutters is more your style, DaySpring Villa needs “handy people” like you. Your experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical and overall fix-it know-how is desperately needed and will be greatly appreciated. - Prayer Partner
